VOCYL Mural project

MLA, Rob Flemmings' office gets a facelift

During the first weekend of May, VOCYL participated in and completed a fun, messy and inspiring project: an outdoor mural, located at 1020 Hilside Ave (MLA Rob Flemings office). For this project, VOCYL partnered with another local program called Youth Combating Intolerance. YCI is made up of students from high schools in school district #61 and works towards eliminating discrimination among youth. The two groups enjoyed two full days of paint, food, laughing, creativity, inclusion, art and community involvement. The mural is bright and eye catching, all while encompassing and sharing through art, the values to which each group subscribes. Check out the photos in the VOCYL gallery on this website or better yet – go check it out yourself in person!
